1. Setting Few Minutes:

You can step aside a few minutes of your day. First you can start with 5-10 minutes and then you can gradually increase your time as you feel more comfortable.

2. Choose a quiet place:

Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down without any NOISE or DISTRACTION. This could be any place like your room, your terrace, your backyard, maybe any spot outside, or any place where you feel peace and comfort without getting distracted.

3. Focus on Breathing:

It’s like meditation. You can slowly inhale and exhale your breath through your nose. It is very important to breathe through your nose. Please do not use your mouth for this session. While you do this only focus on your breath for the first few moments.

4. Be present:

As you keep focusing on your breath, Your thoughts, feelings, sensations, emotions may arise. Once you acknowledge them, accept them. Do not label it as good or bad. Just try to keep your focus on breathing. Here is a catch, Your goal is not just focusing on your breathing but also OBSERVING your thoughts and accepting them.

5. Be CONSISTENT:

Here comes the most IMPORTANT part which is being consistent. Do not only do it when you feel like doing it, do it especially when you DON’T feel like doing it too. When you stay consistent, you’ll eventually find results. So BE CONSISTENT.

You can add these steps into your daily routine to get full benefit of mindfulness over time.

One thing to keep in mind is that Mindfulness is a personal practice. So do not hesitate to explore new things, ideas and techniques.

You’ll eventually find which one works the best for you.

ALL THE BEST.
