What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a mental state where your mind is fully present at the current moment without any distraction or Judgements.

It involves paying attention to your current thoughts, feelings, surroundings etc and accepting it.

Sometimes Mindfulness can be achieved through practicing meditation.

Meditation can encourage you to focus on your present awareness and breathing or mental processes.

The following points can be few aspects of mindfulness:

1. Awareness:

Being present at the current moment rather than regretting about the past or worrying about the future.

2. Attention:

Training the mind to be focused on one particular thing at a moment rather than thinking of a thousand things and accomplishing nothing.

3. Non-judgement:

Observing opinions, thoughts, choices without remarking them as good or bad, right or wrong. Instead improve the sense of curiosity and acceptance. 

4. Acceptance:

Understanding the present moment and accepting it as it  is without trying to change it. This includes accepting one’s feelings, opinions, priorities, beliefs etc. 

5. Connection of Body and Mind:

Discovering the connection between physical and mental experiences. 

Journal can be a good practice for Mindfulness. It has been widely studied that it helps a person with various mental and physical benefits. It also promotes one’s overall health and quality life.
